
Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly Naveed Anthony has said that the Sindh Government is well aware about the Power related issues and will provide the relief in electricity bills soon when he was addressing the media after the Concluding session of the two days’ workshop on Sunday in the Local hotel in Karachi.
He said that after the 18 th amendment it’s the provincial subject and the Sindh Government is moving toward various alternative sources of Energy to provide the relief to those are consuming not more than 200 units. Sind Transmission and dispatch Company Ltd (STDC) is established which will produce the electricity from other alternative sources including Solar and Wind which will be added in our national grid via our own dispatch and transmission system.
The two days’ workshop is organized by Friedrich Naumann Foundation for freedom (FNF) which aims to inform the Media peoples how to start their earning from various digital Media platforms. The topic of the workshop is Journalism 4.0 Untangle your Media Potential.
More than 40 participants, including young journalists, students, and teachers of journalism and mass communication from various colleges and Universities across Sindh, participated in the event. The workshop provided a valuable platform for participants to develop their skills including digital Content, info graphics, developing the Thumbnails etc into the evolving field of Social Media and Online journalism.
Addressing in the concluding session Muhammed Anwar, Head of Programs and Administration, FNF Pakistan said that Journalists are facing the high time and they need such trainings to earn their livelihood with dignity, So FNF Pakistan is supporting the journalists across Pakistan and organising digital skills building workshops to become an entrepreneur.
