K-Electric (KE) has announced a 10-day extension for bill payments for July and August, following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif aimed at easing the financial burden on consumers. This extension is part of a nationwide relief measure implemented by all power distribution companies across Pakistan.
KE stated that customers who have already paid their bills with a Late Payment Surcharge (LPS) will receive an adjustment in their next billing cycle. The new payment deadline for July and August bills now extends to September 10, giving consumers additional time to settle their dues.
This decision comes after the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Energy to extend the payment deadlines due to the rising electricity costs, which have put pressure on households across the country. The Power Division emphasized that this move is intended to offer relief to those struggling with inflated electricity bills.
