Ninth-Grade Student Injured After Fall from Stairs School Building.
Karachi: A ninth-grade student was seriously injured after allegedly falling from a private school building in Orangi Town’s Gabol Colony on Tuesday, police said.
According to officials, the injured girl was immediately shifted to Qatar Hospital, where she is currently receiving medical treatment. Doctors stated that her condition is not stable enough for her to record a statement at this stage.
Police rushed to the scene soon after the incident was reported and have begun a thorough inspection of the school premises. Authorities have initiated an inquiry and are questioning the school principal and staff.
In an initial statement, the school principal claimed that the student fell from the school staircase. However, police are investigating the matter from multiple angles to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
Statements of fellow students and individuals present outside the examination center are also being recorded. Meanwhile, the girl’s parents have reached the hospital and are in contact with medical staff.
Police officials confirmed that investigations are ongoing and further details will emerge as the inquiry progresses.
