A memorandum of understanding signing ceremony was held between Sindh Small Industries Corporation and Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) held in the office of Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo.
The memorandum was signed by Sindh Small Industries Corporation MD Sarwat Faheem and Sindh Enterprise Development Fund Chief Executive Officer Khizr Pervaiz.
On the occasion of the signing ceremony, Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo,Secretary Industries and Commerce Muhammad Yasin Shar Baloch, MD Site Ghazanfar Ali Qadri, Secretary Investment Department Raja Khurram Shahzad Umar, Secretary Information and Technology Noor Ahmed Samoo and Secretary Agriculture Rafiq Ahmed Barro, Saqib Jadoon and other officers were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that the purpose of the MoU is to create employment opportunities in the province. Linkages between the two departments will help promote small scale industries.
Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that Industries should be established on the plots given in new industrial zones. There is a need to establish agro-based Industries in Larkana Industrial Zone. He said that loans would be given to industrialists on the basis of merit. Transparency should be given top priority in this regard .
Women entrepreneurs and women who want to do business would be given priority in providing loans.
He encouraged the investors to set up as many industries as possible in interior Sindh and anyone who does not set up an industry on his plot within six months will have his plot cancelled.Talkingwith Media Saqib Jadon ,Policy Governance Advisor -ITC said that we are working for impoving Governance strcture ,Growth for rural advancement and supporting sustainable projects to strengthen economic growth where as Minister Industries Ikramullah Dharejo assures his full support .
