Pakistan SADC Chamber Trade Federation urges to boost trade relations with African countries on 79 th Independence Day .

The Pakistan SADC Chamber Trade Federation, Pakistan Chapter, hosted a special Independence Day celebration in Karachi to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, with the participation of diplomats, business leaders, trade representatives and members associated with SADC countries.
The event was attended by Iran’s Trade Attaché Morad Naimatii, Consul General of Ethiopia Ibrahim Tawab, ABAD Chairman Hassan Bakshi, IBF General Secretary Azeem Adil Sheikh and PLGMA Chairman Shujat Khan, among other prominent guests.


The programme was organized under the leadership of Syed Moizuddin, Convenor of the Pakistan SADC Chamber Trade Federation, along with Deputy Convenor, the Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council and members of the federation’s Core Committee.
Speaking on the occasion, Moizuddin said Pakistan and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries had considerable potential to expand bilateral trade and investment. He stressed the need to strengthen business-to-business linkages and explore opportunities in trade, industry, investment and economic cooperation.
He said the federation was working to bring the business communities of Pakistan and SADC countries closer and facilitate greater commercial engagement.
Representatives associated with SADC member states, including South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Comoros, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, participated in the celebration.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for diplomats and business leaders to exchange views on strengthening Pakistan’s trade relations with Southern African countries and promoting private-sector cooperation.
The event featured a cake-cutting ceremony followed by the National Anthem.
Participants expressed their best wishes for Pakistan’s continued progress and prosperity and reaffirmed their commitment to stronger economic and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the SADC region.
