In the ongoing 8th World Taekwondo President’s Cup 2026 Asian Region in Lahore, talented athletes of the Pakistan Sindh team, Hina Khan and Hajra Nawab, delivered outstanding performances and secured two bronze medals for Pakistan.
The international event, being held at Jinnah Sports Complex, Lahore from August 17 to 21, features more than 870 athletes from 38 countries, where exciting taekwondo competitions are taking place across different categories.
In the matches held on August 17, Hina Khan and Hajra Nawab put in excellent performances in their respective Under-40 categories, securing third place and winning bronze medals.
Both athletes are students of Kamran Qamar Qureshi, President of the Sindh Taekwondo Association, who is also serving as Head of Team for the Pakistan Sindh team at this event.
The official squad of the Pakistan Sindh team includes Female Coach Muniza Akram, Manager Faseehuddin, Male Coaches Abdul Raheem and Raheel Akhtar, Manager Talha Khan, Female Head of Team Ms. Majida Hameed, and official Nuzhat. Representing Pakistan as referees are Khuldun Raja and Khurram Rasheed.
Thanks were also extended to Combax CEO Umar Saeed and Azman Sports CEO Ms. Saba for providing tracksuits and support to the Pakistan Sindh team.
Hina Khan and Hajra Nawab’s achievement is being hailed as a significant honor for the Pakistan Sindh team. Winning two bronze medals while competing against athletes from 38 countries is a proud accomplishment for both athletes, their coach, Sindh Taekwondo, and Pakistan.
