Tasdeeq Listing to Strengthen Pakistan’s Credit Lending Landscape

Date:

KARACHI, August 25, 2026 —

The listing of Tasdeeq Information Services Limited (TISL) on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will strengthen Pakistan’s credit information infrastructure and help financial institutions improve responsible lending, said TISL Chief Executive Mumtaz Hussain.
He expressed these views while addressing a gong ceremony held at the PSX Trading Hall in Karachi. Addressing capital-market participants, Hussain said TISL is committed to support banks, microfinance institutions and digital lenders through improved credit information and risk-mitigation services.
He said the company’s expansion, innovation and diversified business approach would help attract investors and contribute to the development of Pakistan’s financial sector.
Talking to the media, Hussain said TISL was also conducting public-awareness programmes and using its digital application to educate consumers about their credit status. He said greater awareness of credit records would enable ordinary borrowers to better understand their financial standing.
“Pakistan has around 41 million borrowers, and our objective is to provide them with faster and more accessible credit information,” he said, adding that TISL would serve as a risk-mitigation tool for institutions engaged in lending.
Hussain said TISL is the first Sharia complaint credit-information company listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange and was licensed by the State Bank of Pakistan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Topline Securities CEO Mohammed Sohail said the listing of TISL represented an important development for Pakistan’s capital market. He said the company had achieved multiple records during its initial public offering and subsequently recorded a 21 per cent gain on its first day of trading, which he described as the highest first-day gain recorded by a company listed on PSX through the book-building process.
He said Topline Securities was proud to have served as consultant and underwriter for the transaction.
Sohail said TISL would contribute to financial inclusion by improving access to credit information and enabling lenders to make better-informed decisions.
PSX Managing Director and CEO Farrukh Sabzwari said the listing of a credit bureau on the exchange was a significant development for Pakistan and the wider South Asian region.
He said the entry of TISL into the capital market could bring evolutionary changes to Pakistan’s financial infrastructure by enabling financial institutions to improve credit assessment and lending operations, ultimately supporting greater profitability and financial inclusion.
Sabzwari said the successful listing would also strengthen confidence among local investors.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mumtaz Hussain presented shields to Mohammed Sohail, CEO Topline Securities; COO Umer Khalid; CIO Hamza; Group Information Director Mohammed Shahzad; Chief Strategy Officer Farrukh Kaleem; Head of Business Development PSX Syed Ahmad Abbas; and other officials.
